My advice is, take the early morning departure out to Lanai. The boat ride is smooth and watching the sunrise out on the water is an experience. How cool is that?! Take a day trip, and mark another place off the list! We really enjoyed the ride over, and even saw a huge pod of dolphins jumping. Once you arrive and get off the ferry, there’s a short walk to the General Store. This market is great because there are many healthy options and if you didn’t pack any food, it’s a good idea to grab some for the beach. About a half mile further, is Hulopo’e Beach. The ultimate beach day was had. We laid in the sun/swam in the ocean for hours and hours. There are plenty of trees around to get some shade if needed. For a late breakfast, we walked up the hill and ate at The Four Seasons. Maybe one day, I can afford to stay there as a guest ; ) The property is absolutely beautiful and feels so secluded. I love the pace of Lanai and I would definitely do this day trip again!

Lanai felt like true paradise.
